2011 Sale Rams

On Monday 31st January 2011 GIENNA will sending 7 rams to the Armidale Unhoused Ram Sale. These rams are the final drop of lambs from GIENNA as the stud was dispersed mid 2010.

You are invited to join us on Friday 28th January, (3 pm to 7 pm) when we will be holding an Open Day on our property Brookmount with all sale rams on display. Property sale rams will be available for purchase on that day. We are delighted with the quality of the rams this year and believe that you too will be very impressed.

All sires for our 2009 drop are TRAIT LEADERS.

G070219 - Muscle Depth and Staple length

G070002 - Deviation of CV, Staple Length and Worm resistance

Australian Sheep Breeding Values (ASBVs) (for all measured traits) are available for all sale rams.

 

 

 

 

2011 Armidale Unhoused Sale Rams

Hogget wool measurements were taken on 1st August, 2010. ASBVs are current as of 8th January, 2011.

A second "short wool" test was taken on 20th January 2011. We believe and history has shown, that it gives an indication of the broadest that the animal's micron will grow out to.

Rams with highlighted ASBVs are all TRAIT LEADERS (in the top 10% of the country) for that measurement.
