2010
Sale Rams
GIENNA will again be sending 5
rams to the Armidale Unhoused Ram Sale (1st February, 2010), with
further rams available for sale on property. We are delighted with the quality of the rams this year.
All sires for our 2008 drop are TRAIT LEADERS in Fibre Diameter and Muscle depth. Sire G060510 is also in the top 2% of the country for Worm Resistance. Sire G041113 is a top sire in the 14%ss index.
77% of the sale rams are in the top 10% of the MERINOSELECT national data base for both FIBRE DIAMETER and EYE MUSCLE DEPTH and 50% of the sale rams are in the top 25% for WORM RESISTANCE. Our entire drop is positive for fat depth, which has a strong correlation to constitution and 'do-abitlity'. They have white bright wools with consistent and even style.
Australian Sheep Breeding Values (ASBVs) (for
all measured traits) are available for all sale rams.
2010
Armidale Unhoused Sale Rams
Hogget wool measurements were taken
on 1st August, 2009. ASBVs
are current as of 8th January, 2010.
A
second "short wool" test was taken on 6th January 2010. We believe and history has shown, that it gives an indication of the broadest that the animal's micron will grow out to.
Rams with highlighted ASBVs are all TRAIT LEADERS for that measurement.
